Registration Details
Registration, ID Camps & Trials
Any player can register as long as they can prove their whakapapa, which is what makes us Māori. To register and express your interest to trial and be involved in any of Māori Football campaigns, including North vs South:
- Players will be required to register with Māori Football.
- Players that are eligible (by age, gender, location) will be contacted when trials and camps are announced.
- Updates will be communicated on our social media accounts.
Defining North & South
Players must choose to be affiliated with either North or South teams. Players can choose whichever they feel is most representative of them, but our default definitions are as follows:
- North consists of players hailing from New Zealand’s top 3 football federations – Northern Region Football (NRF), WaiBOP Football, and Central Football.
- South consists of players from New Zealand’s bottom 3 football federations – Capital Football, Mainland Football, and Football South.
